So we got back last week from a wonderful trip to the Dominican.  It was our anniversary on the 31st, so it was just me and the hubby, all by ourselves (like way back when, when we were a real couple w/o kiddos!), which was soooo nice.   Our actual travel there and back was a complete nightmare thanks to American Airlines.  On the flight there we were bumped a day and on the way home our flight was canceled and were bumped another day…I was furious.  But our actual vacation, once we got there was amazing.

The Dominican Republic is beautiful and the people are so kind.  Our resort, The Excellence Punta Cana, was immaculate and we were treated like royaly from the moment you step out of the car.  The beach was gorgeous, but watch out for the sun in the D.R.  cause it is STRONG!  We found that out the hard way the first day.  The drinks were nice and strong and the food was yummy.  We have been to this line of resorts for the last two years now and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quite, romantic getaway.  There was a beach wedding on the Saturday that we were there and it looked beautiful, quaint and romantic.   Overall it was the perfect vacation and we are definitely booking our next to go back!  Ok on to the photos…beware, there’s a lot!

This is just to show you guys how crazy early we left….ugh.dsc_0517

After some well deserved waiting (I really only had to wait a few weeks, but I am so impatient!) it’s finally here!! My new sample wedding album, and I love everything about it…everything.  I went to the binders’ today to go pick it up and I was soooo excited!  I chose to do something a little non-traditional with the cherry red leather, but I really like the way it turned out. It stands out and that is what I was really wanting this album to do. First off this is a 12×12, 50-page (yes fifty!) album with Duo-Tone leather strip in Brushed Champagne. It also has a 6×6 metal cameo…it is a gorgeous piece of brushed aluminum with a photo printed to the metal! These will become my “boutique albums”…it really is stunning in person, so if you wanna check it out, let me know and we can set up an appointment! Ok, now on to the photos so you can see all of the amazingness of the album!!

Today I had the wonderful opportunity to do a family session with Arthur and Amber and their two beautiful daughters. It was a bit cooler than we had expected (thanks to the crazy TX weather!) but they braved the cold for me and we got some great shots! For this session we headed out to Lakeside Park in Highland Park, and let the girls explore for a while while I snapped away. I absolutely loved that the whole family was in pink, it was too cute. Thanks to Arthur for going along with the pink theme, he really rocked the pink polo! Anyways, on to the important stuff, the photos…
