After some well deserved waiting (I really only had to wait a few weeks, but I am so impatient!) it’s finally here!! My new sample wedding album, and I love everything about it…everything.  I went to the binders’ today to go pick it up and I was soooo excited!  I chose to do something a little non-traditional with the cherry red leather, but I really like the way it turned out. It stands out and that is what I was really wanting this album to do. First off this is a 12×12, 50-page (yes fifty!) album with Duo-Tone leather strip in Brushed Champagne. It also has a 6×6 metal cameo…it is a gorgeous piece of brushed aluminum with a photo printed to the metal! These will become my “boutique albums”…it really is stunning in person, so if you wanna check it out, let me know and we can set up an appointment! Ok, now on to the photos so you can see all of the amazingness of the album!!

I have been thinking about doing a post like this for a while since it seems like I get asked a lot about editing and what goes into my post production process. In reality, I would say that 50% of the work I do is in post production, it’s what really makes a photo pop and makes someone remember that photo (hopefully, if done right!). Post-production is a constantly evolving process for me, as my photography skills improve the less work I have to do in PP, which is nice. I am always trying to better my work and that means keeping up to date on my editing skills. I have really gotten away from the use of actions in Photoshop and now I try to do things my own way and I have been so much happier with my results!
Another reason for this post is to explain the difference in my edits. SOOC stands for “straight out of camera,” which means that I have not touched the photos at all except for maybe converting them to JPEG from RAW. Other than that it is exactly what the camera gives me. My simple edits are what you would receive for your digital negatives. I correct them for color cast issues and maybe a slight curves adjustment, but other than that they really never see Photoshop. They usually get a quick batch process in LightRoom. My final edits are photos that either I post on my blog or are being sent to print from client orders. They receive a final edit from me in Photoshop to make them stand out, and look awesome in printed form. These photos will receive retouching if necessary and usually take around 15-30 minutes to complete. Then I have what I call “custom edits,” these pictures might get a little extra processing to make them really pop with the use of textures or some special editing in Photoshop. I have included some pictures so you can get a feel of what I do with each photo…

So what happens after the wedding? After your big day and you have a million lot of proofs to go through? It often becomes overwhelming to go through all of the proofs and figure out which ones you want.  There’s always the option to print some pictures, maybe even get a large print for your wall.  Although these options are great, they aren’t always the best way to showcase the entire story of one of the greatest days of your life.  A fabulous option that I offer (and really recommend and is included in Package 3) is a professionally bound wedding album.  It offers you a lasting and stunning way to proudly display your art.  The albums are covered in a variety options, all customized by you!  My standard album is covered in a smooth black leather and contains 20 pages.  Albums are able to accommodate up to 60 pages, each page is designed by me, specifically arranged to tell your story.  It is truly a stunning piece of art and will last you a lifetime.   To give you a feel of what they look like, here are some  pictures of the final product…this is my standard album that is included in Package 3: 10×10, 20-pg bound album in black leather with rounded corners.  Enjoy!
