I had the most wonderful engagement session this past Sunday (before the cold front came in!!) with the sweetest couple that I could have ever asked for…meet Jazi and Shez.  They are seriously some of the nicest people ever, and I knew that I loved them even more when they told me how they met at med school…more on that story with the full post! I really cannot wait to shoot their wedding at the end of the month, I know it’s going to be so much fun!  For now here are just a few of my faves from our session on Sunday…

If you haven’t noticed I have been absent from blogging for a week…sorry! But it was all for good reason…I had the tremendous opportunity to go down to New Orleans, Louisiana to attend a wedding photography workshop, which was attended by Ryan Brenizer and Christine Tremoulet, just to name a few.  Of course I got to eat some great food, had some to-die-for hurricanes at Pat O’Brien’s and I even squeezed into a wedding dress and got to experience being on the other side of the camera(actually about 20 cameras!). I had such a great time and cannot wait to visit this city again…but for now here is just a little sneak peak of what I was up to last week. More to come from my awesome trip to NOLA!

I shot this image using my 50mm/1.4…it is actually comprised of about 15 frames, stitched together in Photoshop to create an effect called panoramic stiching, aka “The Brenizer Method”.  I am super happy with the outcome and this was just one of the many things I learned at this awesome workshop!

So you might recognize this beautiful couple from December when I covered their engagement party…which was so much fun!  We have been trying to get together for a while to do their official e-session and things came together perfect this week and I was able to join them at their dance lesson.  I was so excited to come along with them to their dance lesson at the gorgeous Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Dallas (so for all you engaged couples in Dallas, I would highly recommend them for dance lessons!  They are extremely nice and the instructors are super cool!).  Saima decided that this would be a perfect time to break-in her shoes that she will be wearing for the big day(s)…and beautiful pair of Jimmy Choos (I love me some heels and I am super jealous, cause they are stunning!).  I am so excited to be shooting their wedding and all the accompanying parties next week, it is going to be a blast!  I absolutely love this couple and their families, they are too awesome.  Thanks guys for letting me tag-a-long this week, now here are some of my favorites!

I loved the movement in her hair here!dsc_1603
