The boys and I have been living it up with this beautiful weather and spending a lot of time outdoors and at the park!  They of course love it, and I will love it more when all the mosquitoes go away for the fall!  Anyways, bug bites aside we had a great time a a cute little park by our house that I have been meaning to take them to for a while.  I must admit that I had ulterior motives for taking them here (as you shall soon see! muahahahahaha~) because there is this awesome painted mural just around the corner that I have been dying to shoot!  Well, it didn’t all go as planned…actaully it backfired on me because they didn’t want me pulling them away from the park to go “take pictures” as they say.  So by the time I got them to the wall they were a little upset. Oh well…next time I know better.  Shoot first, then park!

Enjoying themselves…throwing grass in the air.  ah, it’s the little things that make my kids happy :)

Goofballs!

See, they had no love for my camera at this point :(

Let the shenanigans begin!

Awwww.  They really do love each other…time has gone by so fast. I can’t believe how big they are now! *tear*

We had some pretty ominous looking storms come through the other day (that ended up not doing a thing!) that gave us some pretty impressive electrical shows. My husband was a bit worried about me and kept asking me to come inside (since I was standing outside in a huge electrical storm and there was soooo much lightning it was making my hairs stand on end and making water vapor in the air!) but I was intent on getting a shot of the lighting…and I was finally successful and I didn’t die!

Doesn’t this cloud look a little too funnel-ish to you? I was a little scared we had a tornado coming our way.

And then finally I got a good shot of the lighting…after which I promptly went inside!

I am sooooo happy that it is starting to “cool down” (I use that term loosely, it is all relative I guess!) but either way the family and I are trying to enjoy the slight drop in temperature we’ve had.  The boys love going to the “woods” by our house, it is nice and shaded and of course great for climbing trees and photo opportunities!  They had a blast, get to run out all that energy that they have and I was in love with the light we got :)   It is getting close to my favorite time of year…and I can’t wait a minute longer!!

J was really concerned (and maybe slightly freaked out!) that there was an animal hiding in the hole in the tree…

He is becoming such a ham!  I can’t pull out my camera anymore without him saying “cheeeeeeese” and giving me the biggest, fakest smile ever! I promise I did not teach him that *sigh*

He said he was collecting sticks for our next camping trip…apparently it’s about that time again :)   (oh and as you can see i was collecting light!)
