So I am finally catching up on my blogging from this summer! Woohoo! It seems like things have been non-stop this summer, but that is a good thing, unfortunately that means that I have fallen behind  on my blogging.  But I am on my way to getting caught up with posting the weddings, e-sessions and some other portraits sessions I shot this summer.

This is the conclusion of Shahzad and Javeria’s 3 day wedding in Houston, TX.  I had such a great time with these two, and their entire wedding went so smoothly, from start to finish, it was a joy to capture it for them.  The reception was held at the Four Seasons in downtown Houston, TX…and was absolutely fabulous.  They had beautiful and touching speeches from their close friends and family, an awesome slideshow put together for them by their friends, and had such a huge turnout from their friends and family that came in from out of town to see them start their lives together.  I had soooo many images that I just loved from the day of their reception it was tough for me to make a reasonable sized blog post on it!  But I think I narrowed it down to my top faves and then the rest of my faves are in the slideshow, so make sure to check it out!

Click here to see the entire slide show of my favorites from the reception, just FYI the slideshow opens with music!

Javeria’s gorgeous Christian Louboutin’s that her little sis got for her…we got tons of shots of the shoes!

Her skirt was nothing short of amazing…so much hand sewn detail and beading, with a gorgeous mermaid cut.  Just stunning.

The beautiful dulhan…

Her beautiful dupatta…

Putting on the wedding jewelery that had been passed down from her great-grandmother…

Fishing for the wedding ring in the milk…Javeria won. :)

Javeria & Shahzad are New Yorkers so their entire wedding had a bit of New York touch added to it!

One of the shots that Shy took…she is awesome.

Charlie’s Angels…redux.

And then the traditional stealing of the grooms shoes!  He made Javeria’s sister’s job hard!

Shaz’s friend from NY was a champ…

Best buds…dancing? :)

The milk…all the single people had to drink, it is supposed to help them find a mate, milk it does a body (and a marriage) good!

Javeria’s exit, becoming a part of her new family.

Another one of Shy’s shots…

wow. I cannot even begin to put into words the awesomeness of this past weekend…maybe it’s the exhaustion, but I think I am still just so excited about how amazing Saima and Imran’s wedding turned out!  The colors, the music, the love, everything was spectacular and I feel sooooooooo privileged that they allowed me to be a little part of their family for the last 5 days. I don’t think I have ever met such a sweet, hospitable, accommodating group of families…they really made me, Ben and Shy feel at home and welcome. This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the images that we got from this wedding. I am sure that there will be many, many more posts to follow (from a total of 5 days of events) and I am so excited to start going through all of these images….all 5 million of them. Well there might not be that many but I am pretty sure my computer’s hard drive hates me now after dumping all of these images on there! Anyways on to the photos!!! Thank you so much Saima and Imran, and the Hussain and Issa families and friends for making this such a wonderful experience for me!
