See…I told you there was more to come from this amazing wedding!

Well, the second day of events certainly did not disappoint…this is just a teeny tiny sneak peek at the day of the shaadi.  It was a beautiful affair and I can’t wait to post the rest! Here are just a few of my faves from the day of the nikah and reception…

Abeer was an absolutely stunning bride (and as a side note: that jhumar she is wearing was over 100 years old!)…New-York-pakistani-wedding-photographer-abeer-suhaib-1

I am still soooooo bummed that I wasn’t able to make it the day she had her henna done!!  Isn’t it completely amazing!?

I loved that they had blocked out a set time to do some fun bride and groom portraits…we were able to get some great stuff!

Suhaib’s wedding band…he was showing me the engraving inside the ring.

This was shot just as the rukhsati was starting and Abeer’s family playfully stopped Suhaib in his tracks…they weren’t ready for him to take their sister yet! :)

This weekend I had the wonderful opportunity to come out to Teaneck, NJ (right outside of NYC) to be a part of Abeer and Suhaib’s beautiful wedding. I am still working, tonight is the third and final event (valima), but I wanted to put up a quick look at what I have been working on! These are just some quick edits that I did for the day of/day after slideshow….here are some of my faves from the Mehndi/Sangeet…

A couple of weeks ago I had the awesome opportunity to assist a fellow photographer here in Dallas, Jason with Table 4, and I had a blast shooting with him!  We covered a very laid back, intimate reception, which happened to be the conclusion of 3 previous days of wedding events for Ankita and Danny.  It was really nice too, because everyone was so relaxed and just had a good time.  All of the hard work was over and the families were just enjoying their time together, which made for a lovely (and smooth) reception.  Here are a few of my faves from the night….

The most delicious cupcakes EVER!!!  I heart you sprinkles cupcakes…

There were a lot of kiddos at this reception, so naturally I had a lot of fun trying to photograph them. :)

What are the odds that I would run into (unknowingly) my next door neighbors at a wedding?!?  Apparently pretty good because there they were…isn’t she beautiful?

The bride…

Pat-a-cake, pat-a-cake…

Ankita’s cousin gave a beautiful (and funny) speech…

See? It was really funny!

He spotted the delicious cupcakes! (i feel ya kid!)

Good times.

Ankita’s henna was nothing short of amazing…sooooooo detailed and so neat.  It was absolutely gorgeous!

Thanks again Jason for letting me tag-along!  I had a great time.
