I am getting ready to post part 4.2 of Saima and Imran’s wedding extravaganza, and I just had to share this shot of Saima getting ready right before the reception. As I mentioned before I have been on this “moody b&w” kick lately and this shot is no exception! Even though there was color packed everywhere in this wedding I just had to see this shot in b&w…and I absolutely love it.

July 4, 2009So here is Saima and Imran’s 4th installment in their wedding series! The nikah ceremony. This event took place at the beautiful Fairmont Dallas, on their terrace level, overlooking downtown Dallas, TX! It was a beautiful overcast day and Saima and Imran looked stunning as ever. This was the actual wedding ceremony where they made it “official”. There was so much emotion, and so much joy involved in this ceremony it truly brought a tear to my eye. Here are some of my faves from the day…and make sure you get to the end, I posted a slideshow this time!

wow. I cannot even begin to put into words the awesomeness of this past weekend…maybe it’s the exhaustion, but I think I am still just so excited about how amazing Saima and Imran’s wedding turned out! The colors, the music, the love, everything was spectacular and I feel sooooooooo privileged that they allowed me to be a little part of their family for the last 5 days. I don’t think I have ever met such a sweet, hospitable, accommodating group of families…they really made me, Ben and Shy feel at home and welcome. This is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the images that we got from this wedding. I am sure that there will be many, many more posts to follow (from a total of 5 days of events) and I am so excited to start going through all of these images….all 5 million of them. Well there might not be that many but I am pretty sure my computer’s hard drive hates me now after dumping all of these images on there! Anyways on to the photos!!! Thank you so much Saima and Imran, and the Hussain and Issa families and friends for making this such a wonderful experience for me!
These shots are from day 3 of the wedding events, the joint mehndi party, but when I saw these shots I just had to post them…even if I don’t follow the timeline!
And of course a few shots of Saima’s hands….her henna was unbelievably beautiful!
