I am sooooo happy that it is starting to “cool down” (I use that term loosely, it is all relative I guess!) but either way the family and I are trying to enjoy the slight drop in temperature we’ve had.  The boys love going to the “woods” by our house, it is nice and shaded and of course great for climbing trees and photo opportunities!  They had a blast, get to run out all that energy that they have and I was in love with the light we got :)   It is getting close to my favorite time of year…and I can’t wait a minute longer!!

J was really concerned (and maybe slightly freaked out!) that there was an animal hiding in the hole in the tree…

He is becoming such a ham!  I can’t pull out my camera anymore without him saying “cheeeeeeese” and giving me the biggest, fakest smile ever! I promise I did not teach him that *sigh*

He said he was collecting sticks for our next camping trip…apparently it’s about that time again :)   (oh and as you can see i was collecting light!)

I have been wanting to do this for a long time, so finally yesterday I broke out my stands and seamless papers and did a quick mini-session with Mr. C. He wasn’t all that excited about it, but he did pretty good for me and got a lollipop in return! ;) Here are just a few quick faves from our session!

This was his “are we done YET?” look….haha. DSC_3461

Last weekend I had an awesome family session with the coolest couple and their ridiculously cute daughter! You might recognize Miss N from an earlier session I did with her and her cousin in the spring, and I think she just got like 10x cuter since then!  Our original plan was to go out to this park in Richardson with a beautiful waterfall, but when I got there it was under construction….boo (and I just didn’t think orange construction tape would too great in family portraits).  Well, we decided to try a nearby park that I had seen on the way, and I have to say I think it worked out sooooo much better!  We had a great time walking the nature trails and just letting Miss N have a good time.  We got started early and the weather was a gorgeous 75°!!  I will definitely be going back to this park….you just can’t beat shaded trails in this TX heat.

So here are just a few of my favorites from this session (it was so hard to narrow it down, there were so many good ones!)…

I just loved this shot of her…I think it’s the chubbs that reminds you she’s still a baby!DSC_7283

DSC_7283I absolutely love this shot…everything about it.  It has to be like in the top ten of my favorite kid pictures.  Oh and just so you know I have been on this moody b&w kick lately…I am really digging this black and white, almost reminds me of film.

I love her look here…like she’s checking back to see if mom and dad are watching while she climbs over this fence!

Aren’t they the cutest family!
