Today I had a wonderful session with little Miss A. This gorgeous little one is my niece, so she is more than used to being in front of the camera! We went out to this beautiful open field near Plano and brought a BIG purple chair with us to spice things up….she had a blast picking flowers and finding ladybugs, so she was more than happy to be out with me today. I was soooo excited when I first passed this field since I saw all these little yellow flowers in bloom, I could not wait to do a session out there. I can’t wait to go back and do some more sessions out there! Here are some of my favorites from our session…

Wintertime is a fairly slow season for me photography-wise so my two most popular subjects become my kids! We had such gorgeous weather last week we really took advantage of it. We took a trip to the railway museum for storytime and singing. The lady that does storytime for the pre-schooler’s is AMAZING! She is so good with the kids, and her stories are always interesting and creative. She also plays music for them and my boys just love it. They take the kids on a tour through an old mail train…so any Thomas the train fans out there will surely love this! I love getting shots of the boys afterward because there is a beautiful park and pond nearby, perfect for photos. Here are a few of my faves from the day…

A welcome change!

So as I mentioned before I have some exciting news! I took advantage of the new year to change things up around the website…a new name and a new face for the site and the blog. I have really wanted to go with my name for some time now, I have just been waiting for the right time to do it. I am so happy with the new design and so excited with the direction that I hope to take my business this year! So I hope everyone likes the new look…and a huge thanks to Maree for the design!
On another note, I took the boys out this weekend to this awesome park I stumbled across one day last month. They had such a good time and so did I! I have really been wanting to experiment a little more with some sunflare so bear with me! Here are a few shots from our little outing…

This past week my oldest son taught himself how to ride a bike! We have been working with him on this for almost a year…and nothing. Coordination isn’t his strongest point, but I guess he just wanted to do it himself and I was so incredibly proud of him (he was pretty proud of himself too). Kids are such a blast and my boys never fail to surprise me! Don’t mind the bike helmet not fastened…he INSISTED that he could do it himself and this was the result. I guess it was a good thing he didn’t fall off that day!
